The Ride is Released!

“Writing is an adventure. To begin with, it is a toy and an amusement. Then it becomes a mistress, then it becomes a master, then it becomes a tyrant. The last phase is that just as you are about to be reconciled to your servitude, you kill the monster and fling him to the public.” – Winston Churchill

My monster has been flung! I received word from Robert Gelinas at ArcheBooks yesterday (August 21) that The Ride has officially been released. I am giddy with excitement and at a loss for words—not a good thing for a writer.

I’ve been told it will take about two weeks for The Ride to appear on Amazon and other bookselling sites and another week after that to make the distribution lists for the brick and mortar stores . However, it is available immediately at a 25% discount from ArcheBooks,

I am grateful to all of you who entered and offered your encouragement in my Guess the Publication Date I and II contests. The second contest had entries ranging from July 27 through December 16. The grand prizewinner with her August 2, 2008, entry is Mary Beth Hewitt! Thanks Mary Beth for entering the contest. I appreciate your support.

Hopefully, by this time next week I’ll have come back down to earth and will be able to think and write in cohesive sentences.

Thanks for stopping by.
